Well... not the LAST LAST, but today marked the last holiday here at this place in Hyannis that we have called home for almost fifteen years.

Dinner was great. The whole family was here, the kids made a point to be here for dinner since it *was* the last...

It feels strange, though, it really does. After being here so long, it's hard to imagine leaving. I know the sounds of this house backwards and forwards, to the point that I know when we need to change the filter in the furnace just because I know what the fan sounds like when the filter is due, LOL! I know how it creaks, I know that when you hear the wind whistling around the eaves, the wind is up to around 35 mph, and when you hear a steady whooo sound, the wind is 40 mph with higher gusts. It's home.

I don't know when we will sit down together as a family again. It might be a few years as my kids build their lives together, but you know, I'm looking forward to the change. It's time for them to test their wings, and for me to have a chance to try mine too. ;)

I hope all my flist had a wonderful holiday :)
